- "Clarski" is the commercial brand used for the platform and user-facing services.

1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
Personal information you disclose to us
In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.
Personal Information Provided by You. The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect may include the following:

Legal Consent Audit Trail Data: To comply with our legal obligations under the GDPR (Article 7(1) - Accountability), when you create an account, accept our terms, or submit a document for analysis, we automatically record a cryptographic hash of your IP address (we do not store your raw IP address in clear text for this purpose), your browser User-Agent string, the timestamp, and the specific version of the legal document you accepted. This minimal data is processed strictly to maintain an immutable log of consent and defend against potential legal claims.
Sensitive Information. We do not intentionally request or require special categories of personal data. However, documents uploaded by users may contain personal data or sensitive information about the user or third parties. Such content is processed automatically and transiently only to provide the requested contract analysis. You are responsible for ensuring that you have a valid legal basis and authorization to upload and process any personal data contained in your documents.Payment Data. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect, store, or have access to your full card number, CVC/security code, or complete payment credentials. Stripe may process your payment details, billing information, fraud-prevention signals, and transaction records as an independent payment processor. We receive limited payment information from Stripe, such as payment status, transaction identifiers, invoice/receipt information, customer ID, subscription status, the purchased package, amount, currency, and billing email, so we can fulfill your order and maintain accounting records. OAuth Login Data. We may provide you with the option to register or log in using Google or another supported OAuth provider. If you choose this option, we receive limited profile information as described in "HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS?" below.
All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.
Information automatically collected
In Short: Some information — such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Services.We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services, and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

The information we collect includes:
- Log and Usage Data. Log and usage data is service-related, diagnostic, usage, and performance information our servers automatically collect when you access or use our Services and which we record in log files. Depending on how you interact with us, this log data may include your IP address, device information, browser type, and settings and information about your activity in the Services(such as the date/time stamps associated with your usage, pages and files viewed, searches, and other actions you take such as which features you use), device event information (such as system activity, error reports (sometimes called "crash dumps"), and hardware settings).

- OpenAI, Anthropic, or other AI model providers routed through Vercel AI Gateway — automated analysis of uploaded contract text and related prompts. Their processing depends on the provider/model selected and the privacy controls available for that request.

We also may need to share your personal information in the following situations:
- Business Transfers. We may share or transfer information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of assets, financing, or acquisition of all or part of our business.
5. DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?
In Short: We use only a small number of cookies and similar technologies needed for authentication, security, language preference, basic site functionality, and privacy-conscious analytics.We do not use advertising cookies, profiling cookies, Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, or similar ad-tracking tools. We do not sell data about you to third parties. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregated page usage and basic site performance. Analytics events are configured to avoid sending dashboard document URLs, API routes, authentication routes, query strings, document identifiers, user identifiers, uploaded document content, or payment details. Specific information about the cookies and browser storage we use, and how you can control them, is set out in our Cookie Notice: /legal/cookie.
6. DO WE OFFER ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE-BASED PRODUCTS?
In Short: We provide AI-powered contract analysis. Uploaded contract text is processed automatically through infrastructure and AI model providers only to generate the requested report.AI processing. Contract text submitted for analysis is sent through Vercel AI Gateway, which routes the request to selected AI model providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or other compatible providers. The request may include extracted contract text, selected analysis settings, and system prompts required to generate the report.
Privacy controls for AI requests. We configure AI requests that contain uploaded contract content with privacy controls such as disallowing prompt training and, where supported/enforced, zero data retention. If no zero-data-retention-compliant provider is available for a request, the request may fail instead of being processed without the required privacy setting. Uploaded documents and AI inputs are not used by us to train AI models.
Nature of AI outputs. AI-generated insights, summaries, and risk analyses are intended for informational and productivity purposes only. They do not constitute formal legal advice, financial advice, or professional consulting, and they may be incomplete or inaccurate. You should verify critical legal conclusions with a qualified professional.
7. HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS?
In Short: If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive only the account information needed to create and secure your account.If you register or log in using Google or another supported OAuth provider, we may receive limited profile information such as your name, email address, provider account identifier, and profile picture, depending on the provider settings. We use this information only for authentication, account security, and account management. We do not request access to your contacts, email address book, or social media friend lists.
Your relationship with the OAuth provider is governed by that provider privacy policy and account settings.
8. IS YOUR INFORMATION TRANSFERRED INTERNATIONALLY?
In Short: We may transfer, store, and process your information in countries other than your own.Our servers are located in Romania, the United States, Germany, and Ireland. Regardless of your location, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored by, and processed by us in our facilities and in the facilities of the third parties with whom we may share your personal information (see "WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?" above), including facilities in the United States, and other countries.
If you are a resident in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), or Switzerland, then these countries may not necessarily have data protection laws or other similar laws as comprehensive as those in your country. However, we will take all necessary measures to protect your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Notice and applicable law.
European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses:
We have implemented measures to protect your personal information, including by using the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers of personal information between our group companies and between us and our third-party providers. These clauses require all recipients to protect all personal information that they process originating from the EEA or UK in accordance with European data protection laws and regulations. Our Standard Contractual Clauses can be provided upon request. We have implemented similar appropriate safeguards with our third-party service providers and partners and further details can be provided upon request.
9. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law.We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

13. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.14. NON-USE OF DATA FOR AI MODEL TRAINING
Uploaded documents, extracted contract text, prompts, and generated analysis data are not used by us to train, retrain, or improve public artificial intelligence or machine learning models. Requests that contain uploaded contract content are routed through Vercel AI Gateway with privacy controls such as disallowing prompt training and zero data retention where supported/enforced for the selected provider/model.
15. NATURE OF AI INSIGHTS
The insights, summaries, and risk analyses provided by Clarski are generated automatically using artificial intelligence and natural language processing technologies. These insights are intended solely for informational and productivity purposes and do not constitute formal legal advice. Clarski does not guarantee 100% accuracy in document analysis, and users are strongly advised to verify all critical insights with qualified legal professionals.
16. DO WE MAKE UPDATES TO THIS NOTICE?
In Short: Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Revised" date at the top of this Privacy Notice. If we make material changes to this Privacy Notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification.
